Os The Shamen foram uma banda de música eletrónica, formada em Aberdeen, na Escócia, por Colin Angus (nascido em 24 de Agosto, 1961), Derek McKenzie (nascido em 27 de Fevereiro de 1964), Keith McKenzie (nascido em 30 de Agosto de 1961) e Peter Stephenson (nascido em 1 de Março 1962) na década de 1980, motivados pela a onda psicadélica com influências de indie-rock. Eles foram pioneiros do som rock/dance, antes de alcançarem o sucesso comercial internacional com "Ebeneezer Goode" e o álbum "Boss Drum" de 1992.
