Os The Blow Monkeys são um grupo britânico de pop formado em 1981 pelo o vocalista Dr. Robert, com uma nova orientação new-wave.
O primeiro single, "Live Love Today Tomorrow" foi lançado em 1982. Posteriormente gravaram alguns hits, e finalmente tornaram-se um grupo de musica de dança, pouco antes de se separarem no início dos anos 90.
Eles iniciaram o seu sucesso no Reino Unido e nos EUA com o hit "Digging Your Scene", em 1986, e colocaram mais dez singles e quatro álbuns nas tabelas do Reino Unido entre 1986 e 1990.
Nos EUA, são mais conhecidos por "You Don't Own Me", que apareceu na multi-platinada banda sonora do filme Dirty Dancing, em 1987.
No final de 2007, os membros da banda original reuniram-se, lançando um novo álbum e indo em tournée em 2008.
