Created as a result of the merger of the Eurocup Formula Renault V6 and the World Series by Nissan, the World Series Formula Renault 3.5 is the flagship category of the World Series by Renault meetings. All drivers behind the wheel of the 425bhp single-seater have just one thing in mind - to make it into Formula 1 and emulate the success by recent graduates Robert Kubica and Sebastian Vettel.
Also in action at each of the World Series by Renault race meetings is the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Championship featuring some of the most talented drivers from all around the world as well as the Eurocup Mégane - specially designed 3.5-litre V6 racers based on the road-going Megane Renaultsport 250.
There’s also the F4 Eurocup 1.6 series and at the UK meeting - which this year takes place at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on 20th/21st August 2011 - the Formula Renault UK Championship.
