Os The Icicle Works foram uma banda inglesa de rock alternativo formada nos anos 80.
O nome foi retirado de um conto de ficção científica de 1960 "The Day the Icicle Works Closed", do autor Frederik Pohl
Os The Icicle Works foram impulsionados pela neo-psicodelia de Liverpool de 1980, que também originou os Echo & the Bunnymen e os The Teardrop Explodes.
