on 9 June 1870. It is modern tale about drugs, stalking and darkness visible by writer Gwyneth Hughes about a provincial choirmaster’s obsession with
17-year-old Rosa Bud and how far he will go to to get her.
Season 1 , Episode 1John Jasper finds his his psyche beuing split between darkness and light. He has spent his lifeliving in the cathedral town of Cloisterham living a troubled life.
Taking opium regularly has fractured his mind causing a hatred of his nephew Edwin Drood who, he thinks, stands between him and the beaufiful Rosa.
Season 1 , Episode 2Jasper realises that he has killed Edwin when he comes donw from his drug high. Jasper attempts to find someone else to blame to deal with his
guilt and looks towards Neville Landless. Jasper ends up seeking solace in Rosa.
